Saved by the Art teacher

Today was the epitomy of frantic. First off, I woke up semi-late and had to get ready in about ten mintutes. Second, I did not have a chance to eat breakfast and yesterday I had an early dinner. Third, I grabbed my atom project for school and to my dismay it was falling apart. So basically, I was working on my project for Chemistry yesterday which is suppose to represent a model of an element. I chose Arsenic, so that meant that I had to glue together about 70 pom-poms and make them hang inbetween spinning rings. Sound hard, right? Well it pretty was! So, I started working and then I realized that the Gorilla glue that I purchased would not keep the pom-poms together. So I had to use my hair gel. Yes, I used hair gel and it proved to be a fairly great adhesive or so it looked. With my gel, I bound together all the colored pom-poms and then set up my model and it actually looked great! I then proceeded and hung it from my coat rack, went to sleep and woke up. The model did not start to show weakness until I was in the car holding it. I totally freaked when the cotton balls started tearing from the base!

I have a late schedule, so that means I start at 2nd period when everyone else starts at 1st. My chemistry class is 3rd period, so you must know what it feels to have to turn in a collasping project the next period, while you are frantically trying to fix it. My 2nd period is WHAP, so I had to sit through some very boring presentations while the time grew near to going to 3rd. Then I realized that I could ask my art teacher for help! Smart, huh :)? Anyways, I asked to go to the restroom when actually I ran to my art teachers room and had to post a note on her door about my situation. I just requested that she warm up a gluing gun if she could. I then ran back to class and then waited. Oh and if you do not know, my art teacher starts her class at 3rd period so that even added on additional scare. I mean, I would rather ditch my 3rd period if my teacher could not help me. I do not want to turn in crappy shit. But luckily, my teacher got my note and right after class I bolted towards the Art department. I love her so much, she was such an angel! She wrote me a late pass and everything! So I got to hot glue my project which with like maybe three squirts held my model together. ~_~ Lame huh? I then rushed to Chemistry and then realized that my electrons were to big! The electrons are the suppose to go on the orbital rings according to the number of the element. While the neutrons & protons make up the nucleus; which in my case was falling apart.

This added more stress because now I would get marked down because the electrons were closely shaped to my nucleus. Desperately, I went straight to the back of class and with the idea from Morgan (bless her soul) began to snip off the sides of these pom-poms. Jennifer and Celine really helped and with the aid of Andrew's glue gun, made my project earn an A. Thank you so much you guys!

"Believe in yourself," exclaimed Cindy Lam as the bell rang for 3rd period and I jolted off not knowing what would be of my project.

Studying for finals but with much love,
-Chad
